About Me
An adaptable communications professional helping associations and non-profits effectively shape their message
Since I was young, I've been passionate about reading and how words connect with others through storytelling. This inspired me to major in PR and psychology at Marquette University and taught me the importance of understanding human behavior to create authentic connections with audiences.
For 18 years, I've honed my skills as a content creator, relationship builder and strategic communicator, including for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the largest U.S.-based membership organization for allergist/immunologists. My unique background includes 10 years of experience ghostwriting for high-level executives, using my ability to identify, understand and express their unique voices, and being among the less than 5% of association professionals who have achieved the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives. I'm also a breast cancer survivor and at my happiest when traveling.
In January of 2024, I became a Mentor for ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. ABCD provides customized, one-to-one emotional support to anyone impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis. If I can help even one person by offering them guidance and compassion, it allows me to use my own breast cancer experience to make a positive impact. Visit ABCD's website to learn more.
